How To Tie A Messy Bun Hairdo

It’s one of those days where your hair won’t cooperate, or you’re just running late. Tying your hair into a ponytail won’t do it, and a sleek updo takes way too long. Nowadays, we see this new messy hair bun being sported everywhere. I love this hairstyle because it is so versatile. It can be done for all occasions, whether it’s casual, for work, or formal events. Note that there are many ways to create the look. These are just some tips on getting that perfect, or not so perfect, messy bun.

1. Use Texturizing Spray - A texturizing spray, as the name implies, gives texture to your hair. It gives body and shape to straight hair for all-over fullness. The “dirty” feel allows you to style and hold your hair in to place longer without it falling out.

2. Gather Hair Into A Ponytail - Use your fingers like a rake to pull hair up into a ponytail. Start tying the ponytail but do not pull it all the way through with the last loop.

3. Wrap and Tuck Hair - With the straggling ends of the ponytail, wrap and tuck pieces that are loose under the hair tie so it stays in place

4. Finish With Hairspray - To give your bun that extra hold to last all day long, spritz your hair with some hairspray.
