Time Saving Makeup Tips and Tricks

For every woman that wears makeup, we love all the little hacks and tips we can get to make the routine easier and faster. I would love to leave the house every day with my makeup looking flawless, but to be honest, I just don’t have the time! Here are some makeup tips when the clock is ticking, and you’re rushing out the door.

Tips for the Face

Use a tinted moisturizer. Tinted moisturizers hydrate the skin and require little or no blending to give you a sheer coverage.

Apply with a blender brush. A blender brush allows you to apply foundation quickly because it covers more area than your fingers would. It will also blend more evenly.

Use a highlighter stick. A highlighter stick is so versatile. It can be used anywhere you want a little pop of shimmer. Apply it on the cheeks, eyes, brow bone, or bridge of the nose to emphasize your facial features with a simple swipe.

Tips for the Eyes

Personally, if I had to choose which part of my makeup routine, I would spend the most time on, it would be with eye makeup. Drawing the cat eyes to perfection or putting mascara on without getting it on your eyelid is such a tedious task. Here are some tips that will take some of the frustration out of getting beautiful looking eyes.

Use an eyeliner stamp. This new innovation gives you the perfect cat eye wing every time. It literally works like a stamp!

Apply eyeshadow with an eyeshadow pencil. To create the smoky eye look, apply a light color base, and then draw a grid-like formation with a darker color on the outer corners of the eyes. Blend to get that perfect smoky eye look.

Grab a spoon! The spoon can be used for multiple tricks. Place it above your eye when applying mascara to prevent getting it on your eyelid. It can also be used to create the cat-eye look, curl eyelashes, or help shape the eyebrows when filling them in.
